A senior in the Theatre Department, Eleanor has attended SOTA since she entered high school and is a San Francisco native. She loves the school because of the diverse people, how many Honors and AP classes are offered, and how the arts and academic classes intermingle. This is her first year in student government, which she joined student government in order to familiarize herself with student leaders in her school and give back to the community that raised her.
In Eleanor's free time, she likes to take photos, listen to 90's rap, hangout with her friends, and take her two Australian shepherds for walks on Mt. Davidson. During her final year at the School of the Arts, she hopes to achieve academic success in all of her classes and to break out of her comfort zone, by becoming acquainted with new people and unfamiliar faces.
My name is Franz Mangonon, I am a senior in the theatre department and I am the 12th grade co-Vice President. I represent and raise money for the senior class. I also help organize fests and dance. Besides Student Government, I am in Reel Unknown Club, Farm Club, and a leader of CALEAD.
Arlyss Hays is a senior in the Classical Voice department. She is very excited to be part of SOTA student government as Co-Senior Class Vice President with Franz Mangonon. She loves traveling and and swimming in exotic places. She also makes a mean mac and cheese. Arlyss hopes to take a gap year and live in Sweden, and is excited to see where her future years take her.
My name is Ben Siegel. I'm in 12th Grade and I'm a Band student. As 12th grade treasurer, it's is my job to help raise money for student events and keep track of how it's spent. I'm in student government because I want to make our fundraisers even more fun and allow for more student input in relation to these events.
This year, I'm hoping to bring student government to the attention of the greater student population, so they can be more aware of what's going on in our community and have more access to student government for input. I also want to improve student interactions with fundraising events, giving students the opportunity to comments and share their opinions about events and what kinds of improvements can be made.
I'm this year's Senior class secretary. I am currently a Senior in the Creative Writing Department, and I am super excited to be part of student government this year! My previous experience includes: leading the CSF tutoring club at SOTA, as well as being Managing Editor of Umlaüt, our school's literary journal. I would love to help improve communication for the student government, as well as between the student body and their representatives. I am looking forward to a great year!
