THE BOBS...AND MORE!

For one night only, The Bobs descend on the Dan Kryston Theatre. Nothing will ever be the same again....

WHO ARE THE BOBS?

A Seattle-based a cappella vocal group founded in San Francisco in the early 1980s, THE BOBS have been recording and touring throughout North America and Europe for more than 3 decades.

According to Wikipedia: "Instead of covering more traditional doo-wop songs, ... the overwhelming majority of their repertoire is original, with songs discussing diverse subjects like lunar cattle farming, graffiti, celebrity autographs, tattoos, spontaneous human combustion, rebellious footwear, tattoos, nicknames for genitalia, and felines intent on ruling the world."

WHAT'S THE CONNECTION?

Somewhere along the way, Angie "Bob" Doctor (current Vocal Department parent, Artist-in-Residence, and more recently, Director of SOTA Jazz Choir) joined their group and can be called on to be a Bob at any given moment, provided schedules allow. Being a lifetime Bob, it's a two-way street, and Angie is calling in the cavalry!

WHY ARE THEY COMING TO SOTA?

In April, the SOTA Jazz Choir is planning a visit to Southern California to participate and compete in the Oceanside Jazz Festival. And they can use some help funding their expedition!
