The Audition
SOTA has two auditions for students applying for the 2012-13 school year. Students may only audition for one discipline each audition round. If you know in advance that you are unable to attend an audition, let us know at admissions@sfsota.org.
First Round AUDITION is Saturday, January 7, 2012.
To be considered for a 1st round audition appointment you must:
- submit a completed SOTA Application Packet by Friday, December 2, 2011.
- submit and pass the portfolio review, if applying to Creative Writing, Media or Visual Art.
If you've completed these steps you will receive a confirmation letter the 3rd week of December with the details of your audition. You will also receive a letter if you did not pass the portfolio review with instructions with the next step. If you do not receive a letter or are unable to attend your scheduled audition please contact us immediately at admissions@sfsota.org.
Second Round AUDITION is Saturday, March 3, 2012.
To be considered for a second round audition you must:
- submit a completed SOTA Application Packet by Friday, February 10, 2012
- submit and pass the portfolio review, if applying to Creative Writing, Media or Visual Art.
If you've completed these steps you should receive a letter prior to March 3, 2012 with the details of your audition. You should also receive a letter if you did not pass the portfolio review.
*All students must submit the SFUSD Enrollment Application if they wish to be assigned to SOTA.
AUDITION Results are mailed approximately one month after the audition. If you did not pass the first audition you may audition for the same or different discipline.
