SOTA College Center and Hours

The College Center is located in room 322 and is not open every day. Hours are posted on the door weekly and students are invited to stop by for information or questions regarding college. This resource is offered to SOTA junior and senior students and parents.

The College Center provides opportunities and information about:

  • the application process, dates, and deadlines
  • application workshops
  • action and early decision applications
  • scholarships and financial aid
  • testing - PSAT, SAT, SAT II, ACT, TOFEL, etc. - and test taking tips
  • application essay suggestions
  • where to apply
  • useful college websites, books, and other resource material
  • GPA, class rank, and ELC

The College Center invites representatives from both public and private college and universities to speak to our students. Schedules for these visits can be obtained in the College Center.

To attend informational College Center meetings, or meetings with college/university representatives, students must obtain a pass (College Center door), get teacher permission (at least one day in advance) and show up for the meeting in Room 322 with a completed pass.  Do not miss a class you can not afford to miss

If you wish to receive the "College Bulletin" please contact Mr. Chalmers at gachalmers@aol.com. Make sure to include your name and grade level.
