SOTA Dance students will develop a strong technical foundation studying ballet, modern, and jazz styles, with an eye toward the development of a student's emotional expressiveness and spiritual artistry.
Students will also learn the
principles of choreography. Upon acceptance to SOTA, students will work
extremely hard in a rigorous and supportive environment designed to bring out
the very best in each student's talents.
SOTA dancers work daily in the professional dance world, as classes are held in downtown San Francisco at professional dance studios.
Successful dance department candidates often have a basic ballet foundation.
