Support
There's many ways to help
Since 1982, SOTA has shown the value of arts in education, for students and the community. As arts budgets and programs have been cut over the years, SOTA has continued to deliver. The results are quantifiable: visit SOTA and visit a school without an arts program, and see the difference for yourself.
Artists-in-Residence
A core feature of our process is the Artists-in-Residence program. More than 60 local artists are hired each year to bring their real-world experience to our students. "Artists teaching artists" benefits both the students and our artistic community, engaging and challenging everyone involved.
SOTA does not receive any extra funding for the Artists-in-Residence program. Partial funding comes from our general operating budget and the balance is raised from the generous support of parents and the community.
Current Parents
If you are a current parent, your support of the Annual Parents' Fund is critical. We'll be sending out information throughout the year to keep you informed as we try to reach our funding goals. You can donate on a monthly or annual basis at The Annual Parents' Fund.
Our Local Community
If you are not a parent but are a supporter of the arts and our children, we'd love to hear from you. You can donate through Friends of SOTA, an independent nonprofit dedicated to SOTA and arts education.
We also invite you to check our Performance Calendar and attend one of our many student productions to experience what arts education can do for our children.
Or drop us a line and stop by and visit. This is your public high school and we'd love to give you a tour.
