The PTSA wants to help get certain supplies and materials for students and teachers as they are requested. You might be able to help us. Do you have any of these things around your home or office, unused? Do you have a discount at a place that sells them? Please look over the list, and check back here often for updates! Thank you.
GENERAL USE
Most
of our teachers need DVD players
because many teaching tools are no longer produced on video, and it’s less
time-consuming to find specific “chapters” on a DVD than on a video. Teacher Gale Lederer is heading up the drive
for the DVDs, but they should be brought to the main office.
MRS. LEDERER, DEPARTMENT HEAD
·
A small Mac (or compatible) printer, and the software
to connect it to her computer. She is now using a Mac Color StyleWriter 2400
with her Power Mac G3, but the printer is broken.
·
Three (3) bulbs for her Kodak Carousel slide
projector (about $30 each).
If you can help with any of
these, please contact Mrs. Lederer at glederer@earthlink.net.
Heather
Woodward, English teacher and Director of Creative Writing, has asked
for the following items:
·
A DVD
player
·
A
class set of GOOD paperback dictionaries. The red and blue ones (possibly
Websters!) that Heather has are not very good. Heather says, “This would
revolutionize my classes!”
·
May
sound funny, but I need something that will REALLY clean my whiteboard. Also, a
good supply of black dry-erase markers and some new whiteboard erasers.
·
Two
more electric fans for my room, which has no ventilation. It's a sauna in
there.
·
A
refrigerator (full-sized; as Heather says, “There's no choice after being at
school until 9pm!”)
